The clamp and rod are really solid. The pulley is plastic, so it might not have the greatest durability. The first one we ordered was from GSC but sold by Amazon. It was not packaged very well and arrived with a broken pulley. Then I ordered the same one directly from GSC. It was packaged much better and arrived in great condition. I'm hoping the pulley holds up well.
