It Failed

This is the second chest guard I bought my daughter. The first in the summer of 2020. She used it for High School field hockey in the Fall. Then again in Spring and Fall of 2021. In Spring of 2022 she tore her ACL and Meniscus so she was out of Sports for a complete 12 months. She returned to the field this late winter with practices. The Velcro that connects the chest guard to the elbow pads failed to stay attached. I called Longstreth and they advised me to sew on new pieces of Velcro. So I did. That lasted only a couple of weeks until they failed again. So since it was past the "1 year" warranty, I then had to buy this second set for another $450! The pads work in stopping the shots for sure, however I am disgusted that because of a little bit of Velcro failed, the first set is unusable. Your only as strong as your weakest link and this Velcro is the weakest link. This is definitely a design flaw that should be corrected. Perhaps with replaceable Velcro straps instead of the ones that are sewn into the pads! Dissappointed.
