My Wedding Shoes

I loved wearing these for my retro wedding. They matched my dress perfectly, and brought the outfit together. They were super comfy and I danced all night in them. As a taller girl (5’10”) I really appreciate a shapely low heel. Still feminine while allowing me to stay shorter than my husband. I was a bit between sizes, got a 8.5 that was extremely snug, so went with a 9 that had a bit of room. Extremely happy with these shoes!

My ideal wedding shoes!

I've had my eye on these since they were first released. I knew when I saw them that I was going to get married in them someday. While no marriage proposal was on the horizon, I would check back on the page every once in a while hoping I would get these when they made sense. Well, my hand was forced when I saw the availability almost gone and only one pair in my size left in stock. I decided I wasn't going to wait for a day I don't know when will come and miss my opportunity to get the wedding shoes of my dreams. So I pulled the trigger and I'm so happy I did! They have the perfect 2 in. heel with the almond toe box, the only shape I can wear due to my wide feet. It's been hard trying to find this shape of shoe, as every AD shoe with my favorite heel has a pointed toe box. While the Marjories don't come in Wide, they have almond toe, which I can wear in my usual size. I fell in love with the cutout design on the vamp and could see myself putting ribbon in them to match my wedding dress one day. It totally works but the leather is very taut, so I don't recommend changing the ribbon frequently, for risk of wearing out the leather or damaging it is higher. It's a beautifully flattering design and a versatile Mary Jane. While I don't know when I'll be able to wear them as wedding shoes, I'll enjoy using them for some pale and pastel, summery outfits and dressy events. I don't plan on keeping them locked away forever, because their perfect for many special occasions. I plan on wearing them for years to come.

Comfy and cute

Fit true to size out of the box, broke in within a day, and the white color is WAY better than the Marilyns. The heel is lower than other styles, very centered and comfortable. The strap is not adjustable, which is a shame because it's quite big on me, but the shoe fits well enough that I don't mind too much. I had the long strap problem on the Daisys as well. I'm a bit nervous that the shoes will begin to flop and become loose as the leather stretches with wear. Hopefully not, but I'll use shrink spray if I have to. The leather stitch detailing is so so cute, and these were much more comfortable in the toe box than the Daisys or even the Liliths. I wore them for a full day of walking right out of the box and had zero blisters. I might just have to get them in another color...
