These simple pearl studs are exactly what I needed to portray a character onstage who was described as having "classical taste." I'm happy to keep them for personal use now that the play is over, too! The only drawback is that the magnets--even the smallest, presumably weakest ones?--are VERY powerful, so I can only wear them for a couple of hours or they will really bruise my earlobes. The plus side of that is that I don't have to worry about them getting lightly brushed and falling off (I had magnetic earrings many years ago that did have that problem). Since I wouldn't really want to wear them all day long, it's good--especially for theatrical use, or at a special event that will only be a couple of hours--I'd prefer not to have to worry about losing an earring! :)
