Microfine glitter is amazing when it catches the light and almost invisible otherwise.

We tested two or three samples of glitter before we made our final choice, two coats are definitely recommended to obtain the best coverage. The glitters look really good when they catch the light, but we found that as the glitter pieces get larger, they look less good without the light on them. The glitter is added to the paint by weight, 100g per litre, so if the particles are small you gets lots more in 100g. Microfine will have 4 times as many particles as fine, and 10 times as many as extra chunky for example. When the light hits the microfine glitter the effect is amazing because there are so many twinkly glitter particles. Using Microfine particles it is hard to detect that there are particles mixed in when they are not catching the light, whereas the bigger sizes can look a bit gritty. We tested a sample of stars and moons as well, but they looked a bit like a dodgy craft project when the light is not on them and they are really prominent.
