Recorded in 1957, Way Out West features Sonny Rollings on Sax, Ray Brown on bass and Shelly Manne on drums. They are at the top of their form on this record, Sonny’s playing is superb, but the work of the other musicians, is just as good. The recording is stunning, with weighty bass, drums that pop and symbols and brush strokes that swish and sparkle. Sonny’s saxophone is so clear and dynamic. Another Great tape transfer by HDTT.

A superb version of a great album

This is another great title in a great file! Its quality is really making me happy even without playing my Analogue Productions LP. It's worth purchasing it, indeed!
