Such a cute dress! It's flowy and stretchy and comfy. I think I probably could have gone a size down, but it's always hard with alternative clothes. I'm a 2xL in some dresses and a large in others. I ordered a XL which is my typical size and I'm happy with it, even if I wouldn't mind it being a touch tighter. I just add a cute black belt on my waist and it's perfect. For reference, I'm about 210lbs and 5'5". Also, the customer service is excellent!
