Not an American scrape reed
As far as I'm concerned, this isn't an American scrape reed. The tip was at most 1 mm long, and there was far more bark left in the back than I would expect. When I first got them, they were completely unplayable for me. I extended the tip and the back to try to make them more like what I'm used to. Maybe a better reed maker than me could get them working, but I haven't succeeded in getting rid of the (to my ear) overly vibrant tone, and the high A doesn't feel secure.
