Taika - Kids' Rubber Rain Boots

My kid is very happy with these boots and so am I, being lucky enough to have small feet and fit into kids sizing. They're very light and flexible, which is important to us. And at the sale price, they were a great deal!

Good Features, but Fit and Experience Could Be Better

I purchased these boots for my twins and really liked a few thoughtful design details. The colour is beautiful, and I especially appreciate the flat sole with the groove in the middle—it works well to keep the elastic from rain pants in place, which is a great feature for active kids. That said, I did find the boots shorter than expected. Based on the photos, I thought they would be closer to knee height, but they are definitely lower, which makes them less ideal for deeper puddle play. The material is also a bit stiff from a foot development perspective, although that may contribute to durability over time. Sizing was a challenge. I followed the website’s recommendations but found they ran small and had to exchange for a size up. Unfortunately, the exchange process itself was frustrating. I wasn’t aware that the replacement boots wouldn’t be sent until the original pair was received, which led to a gap where we couldn’t use them. Communication around returns and exchanges also took longer than expected, and during that time I missed an opportunity to reorder during a sale, which was disappointing. Overall, the boots have some great practical features and seem well made, but between the fit, height, and customer service experience, it wasn’t as smooth a process as I had hoped.
