Seeds of Akhlaq
For a child growing up in the present world, what do we sow to reap the reward of being a parent who has done justice to the Amanah from Allah if we sincerely believe that our children are His Amanah in our safe keeping. Some may say, decorate their rooms with themes, feed them organic foods, cook delicious meals for them that they may sing your praise all their lives, sent them to Private schools, shower them with toys and gifts, pamper them that they may grow with confidence of being brought up in wealth. I would say, be moderate in what you give them of material world but be generous in Hidayah. What better could be a gift but to root them in values by telling them a story that ends with narration of a hadith. I bought this book with this intention. The book is serving its purpose. No book written by a mankind is expected to be complete and perfect in its message. So, this book has its own short comings. Sometimes the title or the story may not convey the message intended in the hadith but the writer has made her best efforts to make the meaning of hadiths accessible to a child's psyche in a manner best comprehensible to her own mind. Children grasp way more than we presume. Despite finding a miss here and there in the narration of stories, I would still recommend it to young parents who wish to introduce children to Islamic values early in their lives.
