Screw is too short, earring falls out easily

The front part of the earring unscrews really easily because the screw is way too short. It's really difficult to insert the front into the post and get it stable enough to start twisting it because it's so short. It doesn't take much for it to unscrew. I had it in my helix piercing and I was gently washing my hair in the shower and the earring unscrewed and fell out. Before I noticed, the post fell down the drain and the front part was sitting in my tub. So now I just have the front part and no post :(

Cute but very difficult to wear

The lightning bolt shape is fun and beautiful, but it is incredibly difficult to insert and screw the two parts together in your own ear. Idk but the gauge seems too thick/large to me, the post wouldn’t go through the front or back of 5 out of my 6 ear piercings! When I did finally get it to go in my cartilage piercing, the 8mm post was way too long, with most of it hanging out the back and impossible to sleep with—which is the main reason I wanted to try a flat back earring. I realize I chose the 8mm post but I can’t imagine any ear piercing it would work well with. Maybe a nose or lip.
