It's hard to get out of bed in the morning
I'll admit, I was a little nervous to buy a linen duvet cover, since I'd always previously had cotton. I was worried it wouldn't be as soft as cotton...but I was completely (and happily) wrong! This duvet cover is SO nice. It's super comfortable, the pattern (I ordered the gingham) is perfect, and the quality is clearly very high. (Out of the box, the duvet cover is softer than linen pants I've worn and washed for years.) I immediately went back to order the matching linen sheet set. I highly, highly recommend this duvet cover: it's the most comfortable my bed has ever been!

SO in love with this duvet!
I was on the fence about needing a duvet cover replacement but was really drawn to this stonewashed linen and the subtle ivory stripe...it did not disappoint! The cover is wildly soft, I love the beautiful buttons on the one edge, and the size is just perfect--large enough to make swapping duvet covers easy (which is saying something!) and yet formed enough to look put-together. I have it on a futon right now and friends frequently mention how soft the linen is and I just adore how it pulls the room together in a cozy, warm, and lived-in way that I love.

Amazing duvet cover...so far!
After searching online and reading dozens of reviews of line duvet covers from Brooklinen, Parachute, Magic Linen, etc...I settled on the Stonewashed Linen Duvet Cover from Citizenry. Why you ask?
Because many of the reviews said it was the softest out of the box. Durability was a concern of mine, but more so for linen sheets than a linen duvet cover. I've had multiple sets of linen sheets that needed to be replaced before my previous duvet cover. I've since washed the Citizenry duvet cover twice and it feels almost as soft as my previous Brooklinen one I've had for 4 years. Quality wise it feels slightly thicker so here's to hoping it holds up just as well if not better.
