So far, so good. Haven't finished it, but compared to much in the genre it's near the top end. Interesting characters, mostly interesting plot (occasionally, so far, some "obvious" threads, but again less than most in the genre. BR Kingsolver continues to be the standard (in my opinion) for this genre of writing. I'll see how this one finally turns out, but I can say that it is keeping my interest and I am not skipping over vast swaths of words in the hope of staying interested. That's a big plus. If that trend continues, call it a 4 star.

I love all of Deborah's books. This one is no exception. I loved it.
