Quainton Brick/Metal Platform Footbridge

Excellent model

Being a newbie to modelling I'm still learning the good, the bad, and the indifferent when it comes to kit and model manufacturers for N gauge. I'd already built one footbridge and needed a second one of a different design. Having tried unsuccessfully to complete a particular badly designed kit footbridge (manufacturer shall remain nameless), a friend suggested the Quainton. I was a little hesitant but decided to take the plunge and order one, and I must say I'm delighted that I did! The footbridge comes complete but very well packaged; there are no rough edges or 'flash' to remove and the detail is great. I wasn't sure about painting a completed item, I'd usually paint some parts before assembly, but this footbridge was easy with a little care. The picture shows the footbridge painted, although I've yet to weather it.
