Cheese Slicer Kit

I had no success at putting these kits together. After the boards were prepared and i attempted to drill the hole 3 7/8” deep that was my first problem, could not drill the hole perfectly straight into the wood and it has to be straight are the wire will align with saw kerf. So i went to friends house who has been in woodworking all his life but even he could not drill the hole straight with a good drill press. Anyway after two attempts to assemble I broke two wires. So i am left with kits with nothing to do with them. Looks simple enough to assemble but it requires more skill than my friend or I have. Oh well better luck on my next project.😄😄
