Curls are showing up after only 2 uses

I got this shampoo and conditioner combo for my daughter who has had frizzy/wavy hair for most of her life. When I started conditioning it a little more intensely (she's only 7) I saw some curls popping so I ordered this shampoo and conditioner thinking she was ready for some 'big girl' product. After only two uses, she is getting lovely curls, and I know that will only get better with regular use.

Not great, not bad

This is the first moon shaped shampoo bar I've ordered. I think the old square shape was so much easier to use. I'd love to know why the company changed the shape. I don't think I'd tried the curl defining shampoo before. It doesn't lather as well as others but I get that that is probably because it's supposed to not dry your hair. I am neutral on the scent.
