Galaxy Donut Kit

My boys LOVED making the galaxy donuts. The kit included everything we needed including the donut mold. My kids especially loved pouring, mixing and glazing their yummy treats! The follow up activity was also wonderful. It lead us to have a wonderful discussion about our solar system and outer space in general.

Apparently I can only make one review for the whole six month subscription. So I'm changing (lowering) this previous one. I'mthecheftoo was marketed to me as an opportunity to get kids away from the screen and bake some scratch foods. First, you have to scan a QR code - so screens are there too. I wanted my kid to work on reading and not have screens here too! As for the recipes, the first was incomplete and I ended up having to teach my son without the card; the second recipe was just boxed cake mix and did not include the additional (dry) ingredients to complete the fun part of the geodes. I'm incredibly disappointed.

My granddaughter, her best friend and I had a great time making these donuts. I really appreciated that the recipe included the measurements for all of the ingredients so that we can make them again using our own ingredients!
