Bright packing bags, too tight a fit
These trio of packing bags marks my fourth La Flore Paris item received. I started with Bebebark, the small purse, then Trolala and now these. Needless to say, I am a fan!
With much anticipation, I opened the carefully wrapped packing cubes. On the eve of my trip to London, I eagerly started to pack, using these cubes.
Now, it is true that I tend to try to pack my bags to the brim, but unfortunately, I discovered that the packing cubes, even when empty, were a bit too high for the bag to close comfortably over them.
For the bag to close, the cubes must be lightly packed (not bulging, especially not on the top). They must be scooted towards the center - they cannot be aligned to the ends of the bag, because the folding contraption would be impeded from doing its job.
Furthermore, the nifty side pockets of the packing cubes and the bag itself (inner pockets) can only be very lightly filled, if choosing to use all three packing cubes.
I understand the value of the cubes for lifting out, for example, one outfit in each cube, or your cosmetics, but the caveat is that you will lose space elsewhere in the bag when using them.
As my Trolala bag is brand new, I feel uncomfortable forcing it closed over the packing cubes, as their zippered rims are just slightly too high for the measurements of the weekend bag. The cubes are beautiful, brightly colored, and well-crafted, but you have to sacrifice a fair amount of space to use them easily.
If the measurements were adjusted, it would be fixed!
