I measured wrong

I ordered a really nice replacement belt. Quality is excellent. Measured it and cut it to fit. I wedged the cut end into the buckle tightly, then was shocked to find the tip was too wide to go into buckle. Now what?

Solid product that last years! Just bought this belt for one that handled a few overseas trips and construction work for the lasts 5 years. Kept the buckle just need a new strap! Quality is Primary focus for any Nexbelt product!
