Disappointed in quality

Bought these mittens with high expectations of warmth and quality. While they are soft and warm, within 2 weeks of my 6 year old wearing them, both mittens have holes on the side seams where the fabric has just frayed and opened. The holes are not even on or near the palms where regular wear and tear would happen.
