Simply Versatile
The 84 Bandolier is definitely more versatile than they let on in the description, I don't want to oversell it's capability, but it definitely has some more practical uses than just STANAGs and stuffed PMAGs and double SMG mags For PMAGs only the standard floorplates will work, I have tried both Magpods and Dos Boot floorplates and while the Dos Boot will cover them it won't reach to secure them. Magpod will go over the rear one but not the front one. It WILL Fit two AK magazines (7.62, 5.45, and 5.56) but it WONT close over top of them. I'd say the elastic retention is enough to keep them in there as long as you're not slinging it around too much. MP5 mags I could only fit three per cell, the flap will cover them but won't close, it will only close if you have two of them side by side, but they do fit fine. Again, elastic will keep them from escaping for the most part. Glock mags and other doublestack handgun mags, you can fit four per cell, I only had one 24rd mag but they fit fine, I'd imagine other similarly proportioned straight-body PCC mags will fit equally fine. Curved will probably be the same as the MP5 mags. Bonus round: BX25s and other 10/22 extended mags, I can fit two in the cell with the bullets facing outward. Can also fit one mag and at least one tray of minimags or other similarly packaged 22lr. It will also fit 16oz Nalgenes and other similar diameter water bottles, like Smart Bottles. If you can get a light/trigger guard kydex holster you can secure a Glock or other similar pistol, run some paracord through a hole in the holster and anchor it to the drain hole at the bottom of the pouch. It does not have excessive slop when worn as a pseudo chest-rig off to your side, it will be in a similar position to a 1911 Tanker holster. I'd rather have an appendix holster but if you want to kit one of these up as a little go-pack, it'll work well enough for water/snacks/gun/ammo for a little range outing or supplement an already full emergency backpack. The flap will not secure to the velcro but it can pull over the top of the slide and will keep it from popping out too easily if you want the extra retention.

Good kit
Decent little mag carrier. Holds eight stanags or four Monsters. A minor gripe is that the two cells on the end don't open as far as the two central cells, making it a bit more difficult to reload / reindex. The elastic is tight, holds onto the mags well. A minor problem on mine is that the ends of the TQ elastics weren't finished; so when I inserted & removed the TQs, they started unraveling. I fixed it by melting the ends, and it has held up since then. The velcro strap keepers are actually sewn on, so they actually stay put. Very appreciated. Buckles are a little bit stiff, but it's fine.

Super handy
Buy two, they stack in a pack dumb easy. You'll have instant regret when you just get one after you see how they fold up and lash together. Pretty practical piece of kit.
