I purchased a beautiful Meelah Collections silver serpent ring as a gift for myself. After a huge start to the year that shook me to my core and a health scare that felt like a rebirth, I chose the serpent for it’s symbolism of renewal, rebirth, transformation, and healing due to it’s ability to shed it’s skin. When I wear it, I feel empowered and reminded of my resilience. It has beautiful patterned detail, it’s fairly light weight (comfortable to wear) and I appreciate that it’s adjustable in size, because it offers flexibility as to which finger I can wear it on and which knuckle to position it at. I’ve received many compliments but equally many questions, which has allowed me to open a dialogue about the symbolism, which has then led to some very powerful conversations about what I learned from my recent experiences. I love the feeling of an equal exchange, supporting a small artisanal female-led businesses and shopping local.
