Sullivan Utility Jacket
This jacket has a simple design, is well constructed, and is versatile. It fits true to size and is comfortable to wear. It is a good-looking jacket that I would recommend.

Great jacket!
I've never owned a chore jacket - always tended towards technical outdoor fabrics. I've found myself reaching for this jacket as an outer layer in cold weather and as a stand alone jacket in the mid-40's - mid 50's. It's surprisingly wind proof yet more breathable than my typical nylon jackets. I haven't owned it long enough to evaluate durability, but I bet it lasts as long as my daypack - it's totally functional going on 20 yrs now. . .

Excellent quality. Features I would change.
The overall quality of this jacket is excellent. Sewing seams are outstanding. Inside pockets great. I have two changes that are probably more of a personal preference nature. I would like the front lower pockets to be the kind where you can hold stuff in them. As they are now they are pretty much only for putting your hands in them and if it is that cold you want a heavier jacket. The shoulder gussets are weird and stay stuck out. Just eliminate them and make the shoulders wider. The sleeves seemed very long (for me) so I soaked the jacket in hot water and then put it in a hot dryer. I know that kind of heat is not recommended but the sleeves shrank about an inch and were then perfect for me. The fabric was much more comfortable and to my eye and feel nicer. The waterproof wax treatment did not seem to be affected at all and still sheds water.
