I've practiced for a few years with another company's mouth reed just for the fun of it but as soon as I put the batwing cut in...shoowee. I liked the tension it had on the reeds, and it fit really well in my mouth. You can really get after it for a gobbler from across the meadow to hear you or get super quiet for those super close encounters. Overall, a very easy call to use. This was my first-year turkey hunting, and I was able to call in two very nice long beards. One of which strutted himself 200 yards across the meadow to come to it. When this one wears out, I will definitely be ordering another batwing cut.
