I work in Law enforcement and prefer to keep my field notes the old fashioned way. I've had the Mini Field Journal about a month and it has been a great addition to my daily carry, Both at work and home. I have filled the Journal with 3 mini journals; Professional Field Notes, Personal Life Notes and Lists, and a Mental health journal. While it can easily hold a fourth notebook I elected to fill the back interior pocket with the same thickness of index cards.
The material feels reliable, durable and has not stained or fallen apart with use. I am having some fraying fuzzing on the edge at the top of the spine but it is holding together well.
I am not a fan of the elastic pen loops as I use Lamy fountain pens and they tend to be to thick to easily slip in and out. It has been where I keep a backup pen and has not been in the way when writing.
It is a bit large to put in a back pocket but has fit well into the cargo pocket of 5.11 pants. It feels secure and im not overly worried about it falling out while on patrol, driving or biking

Quality!
The build quality is very nice. There are no "cheap-outs" in the materials or craftsmanship of this journal. I'm enjoying it so far. I'm pretty hard on my outdoor gear, and this will be part of my kit, but I see no reason to worry about it falling apart. Well worth the price!

Just the right size
This goes with me everywhere now. I have only recently started hand noting and planning and this Journal comes with me everywhere. It fits in my edc bag easily so I can bring it everywhere. Recently brought it to my Banff trip and was able to pull it out for beautiful scenes I wanted to sketch. I have a dot matrix book and a planner book with a back up dot matrix in this. I can easily have up to 4 planners installed at once but for my current usage im set with 2 and a backup. The strap keeps everything nice and tight so things dont fall everywhere. And the look and feel just feels right. So glad I finally made the jump to get this set and will definitely consider more in the future!
