25W Step down power converter

I purchased 3 for my class to make power supplies to run the tethered mini sumo robots. The buck regulator is superior to the linear regulator for what we did as it was able to put out just over 3A which is fantastic. However, my students did kill one. Likely because of a short circuit. I would love to see an improved model with short protection.
