Fairly simple and easy install. They are jet black until engaged, when engaged they are super bright LED lights. My original tail light assembly didn’t have a light bar, just a useless black look alike. I chose this assembly because I wanted the bar light. The install took a little DIY problem solving for my specific car, but the end result is awesome. The original assembly took some convincing to get out, but once out the new ones clicked right in. My only advice is to be mindful of the wiring. Any kinks or exposed/loose connections will cause problems.
