Makita Detent Plate - Stainless Steel - Formerly (STENETENT)

I just removed the OEM detent plate and installed the packable tool stainless steel detent plate on my Makita XLS08 12 inch 36 volt compound miter saw. It fit perfectly. After only modest use of the OEM aluminum detent plate, there was significant play, particularly with the 90° and 45 degree detents. I only noticed this when my miter cuts stopped fitting correctly. After installing the packable detent plate there was zero play. The saw finds each detent perfectly and returns to true zero. The build quality and stiffness of the heavier metal with Packable’s detect plate was immediately apparent in comparison to the OEM aluminum. I would highly recommend this upgrade to the Makita saw for even modest use.

Quality made scale for Makita miter saw. Should last a very long time, Stainless steel and very distinct graduation markings easy to read. Very satisfied with this purchase .

Came as advertised and was easy to install. It’s been a game changer for cutting mitres. No more adjusting my mitres… would definitely recommend this upgrade.
