American Psycho - Extrait de Parfum

The presentation is absolutely top notch. Unmatched creativity and artistic direction that creates an experience that really stand out from the crowd. Patrick batemans business card is probably my favorite touch. To me, the creme brulee note is the most prominent on the opening and remain through the drydown. Where it then leans much heavier into mint, which is not something i see very often in fragrance. It also has a nice metallicness that gives it a unique edge! However (likely due to transit) my box arrived damaged on the inside. Thankfully the outside is still okay!

A non avant-garde signature scent

Typically when I see conventional fragrances they tend to smell just like any other one. This doesn’t smell overwhelmingly musk at all--infact it’s an ambroxan forward with crème brûlée facets—but it’s a bit more complex than this. I do get the little bit of tobacco, and the background spices, all of which, at least in this frag are just so addicting. A couple of spritz is probably even too much for me, this is strong stuff and as a whole, does really emphasize the Patrick Bateman persona in a bottle.

My new signature fragrance

This is one of the most arresting fragrances in my collection. It opens explosively on my skin: dangerous, metallic, and undeniably sensual. Cold steel collides with a slow bloom of vanilla sweetness, creating something both intimate and feral. Not for everyone, but unforgettable.
