Naming It Premium Does Not Make it So
Does the job. But it’s just a bag of herl. Nothing about the quality and length makes it stand out from the competition. But I repeat, it does the job

Peacock herl should be peacock hurl!
I must say I was very disappointed with the Fulling Mill Peacock herl I received. First of all the individual herls are loosely packed which makes it difficult to remove or reinsert into the package. Secondly the quality of the herl was very substandard, certainly not what I expected of “Premium Select”. Most of the barbs and barbules were so small and sparse they aren’t even suitable for tying midges. None of them are of a size for 18 or larger hooks. The package contents were worse than the herl I wanted to replace!
Fulling Mill is usually known for its quality, hopefully this incident is a single exception to the rule!

Finally, good peacock herl
Lately, the quality of peacock herl from major suppliers has been shoddy at best. This stuff from Fulling Mill is tremendous. Lots of full, long flue, perfect for wrapping on it's own or going in a dubbing loop. Fulling Mill gets my vote.
