Dont really need it. Luckily the product is that comfy i dont feel the need but i have them on anyway. I bet itll make a bigger difference for bigger fellas

Good buy for additional comfort

These are nice on the outer edges but not necessarily a must have for everyone. They definitely help give an additional bit of padding and comfort on the edges of the rig as a whole but certain people may not need this based on weight and clothing fit.
