Suunto Compass MC-2

reliable, easy to use, tough, the "standard"

I initially bought this for use at a Pathfinder Gathering basic navigation class a few years back, and it seems to be the go-to standard for compasses still. I am a beginner at learning navigation, but the MC-2 is easy to use, get readings from, and it is fit into a very tough case that holds up to use. So far it is totally accurate and all parts move/work well. I added a 36 bank line lanyard and put together a nav kit around this compass I keep in a military utility belt pouch.

i love it i have a brunton tru arc and a tru arc 20 and the suunto is 100 times better in my opinion. the brunton has tool free declination but it is hard to set. the suunto mc2 is a whole lot easier to set. and i love how it has the north south east and west markings the brunton does not.

Have been wanting this compass for awhile, been watching reviews on your page and a few other bush crafters page.. and decided to buy one.. very glad I did!! I love this compass works very well.
