Firewalla Wi-Fi SD

It was not necessary for my initial setup. However, I will find another way to incorporate it into my build later on down the line. The Gold Pro Plus and the AP7 are amazing. If you have a large space, you will need to add multiple Witeless Access Points if you want good Witeless 7 speeds. If you live in a 2 story home, then you definitely want a second AP for whatever floor the main AP is not located on.

Love the firewalla team and love the firewalla products. I wish the wifi sd had a little more power. I tried tethering it to a hotspot as a backup wan but did not have a good experience. My internet speed was 1mbps which is literally unusable. Not sure if its a compatibility thing with my specific hotspot or what. Either way, the range could drastically be improved. There should be a kit that which includes a long wire that attaches to the USB dongle, in order to position the antenna in an appropriate place for best reception. My house has terrible interference and I have to put my hotspot upstairs near a window to get reception and the wifi-sd cannot connect to it from the basement. First product that I have to give a lower review. I also own 2 AP7s and the firewalla gold pro and both those products have been amazing so far. I think the wifi-sd needs to be redesigned as its an AMAZING idea, but functionally in its current state its unusable for my current setup.
