Very beautiful mix of flowers but GROW OVER 6 FOOT TALL!

I got this mix to create a flower bed in our front yard to reduce the amount of terrible Texas grass, but I was not prepared for the flowers to keep growing, and growing, AND GROWING!! I planted the seeds sometime in March in a few inches of store-bought bag soil spread over cardboard covering the grass, and then covered the bed with a couple inches of straw. The attached photo is from May 5, and they are already getting to be a few feet tall. Well by the start of July, many of the plants were exceeding 6 feet tall!! Hurricane Beryl blew over most of them but they stayed rooted and are recovering. Why did I give these seeds only 4 stars? Because I was not expecting them to get SO TALL!! I wanted a decorative pollinator patch for the front yard but they are now blocking the view of the street for the front door and doorbell camera. Maybe they aren't typically supposed to grow so tall but here we are. I WILL NOT be planting these in the front yard again next season, but because I got a large bag of seeds, I will definitely be planting them around the back yard to help bring in more pollinators for the garden.
