I just received this book less than a week ago, and so far, another winner! I am a huge fan of Brazilian music. I’ve heard Ron Carter on many Brazilian recordings, so ordering this book is a no brainer!

Another great one by the Great One

I love the way this book, like his others allows us to appreciate that taking chances in context of the music works. We don't have to follow a set o hard rules all the time. His books point out other possibilities both rhythmically & for note choices that aren't usually suggested or in some cases allowed. Ron makes such great choices in support of the music & is always so creative. His books are a treasure for any bass player. - Sam
