ShiftPower SP09 Throttle Response Controller - Toyota & Lexus Models

Overall good device.

First of all, for Toyota Corollas, these cars are not designed to be performance vehicles. This device certainly gives a good boost in throttle response, but the lag is still there in an intermittent manner (sometimes it's there, sometimes not) and pressing the accelerator in a semi-aggressive manner produces high RPM's (again, Corollas are not designed to be high output). I found that on my 26 Corolla Cross, the best setting is probably the Racing mode at about 80% gain. Oftentimes when I go from a stop, I press the accelerator pedal and the lag is definitely there before the car takes off (this is the reason for the 3 stars, although it's really 3.5 stars). Without the lag, it would be 5 stars. Do I recommend this product ? It's kind of "iffy". Corolla owners need to know that this is not the "magical" product because the lag is NOT completely eliminated as is advertised, but on the flip side, the throttle response is definitely improved. On a separate note, the included button controller can only change from mode to mode (you can't customize the percentages), and you have to cycle through all of them to get back to the first one. Also, the button controller does NOT need to be installed if you change modes exclusively via the app. As far as installation, the guide is incorrect as far as the male/female connectors. It is plugnplay, but the female connector goes to the pedal, not the male connector as shown in the guide. The male connector goes to the connector coming from the car. At least in Corollas, the connectors on the harnesses are usually female, thus requiring a male connection to match. I'm on the border of whether to keep or return, but I will say it is helpful. I do think even with the sale price, it's a bit steep.

This really transformed the car for the better

Plugs right in and gibes my corolla cross the juice I wanted. Great product!
