Chocolate Buttercream

My friends and I love this cake and order it for special occasions. However... it has gone from $35 to $40 and now to $52 ($40 cake + $12 for gluten free) for the 6" gluten free version. OUCH! We were shocked and sad to see such a big price hike.

I hesitated to review this cake, but it was a small 50th birthday cake for myself. The cake itself was super moist, but the frosting like others mentioned was terrible. It was thick, very greasy, and no real flavor. I had two pieces and left it out to see how long it would last. The frosting never really softened, it just remained thick, very greasy, and not appetizing. I was super disappointed and threw it away. I had heard such wonderful things about the bakery. I also purchased cupcakes, a green chile apple pie (which had one piece eaten and then thrown away) and a cookie while there. This will be a one off experience, sadly.
