Not a Magic Fix, But Worth It for the Peace of Mind
Honestly, it’s one of those things where you’re hoping you never actually “prove” it works — but it gives you some peace of mind.
My son’s been wearing the Q-Collar for lacrosse. First couple practices it felt a little weird for him, but he got used to it pretty quick. Now he doesn’t even think about it. Fit is snug but not uncomfortable, and it doesn’t mess with his helmet or movement at all.
We haven’t had any big hits (thankfully), so I can’t sit here and say “yep, it saved him from a concussion.” But that’s kind of the point — it’s more of a preventative layer, like wearing a mouthguard or cup. You don’t question those, you just wear them.
Build quality feels solid, hasn’t broken down, and it’s easy to put on.
Bottom line — if your kid plays a contact sport, it’s a pretty easy “why not.” It’s not a magic force field, but it’s one more layer of protection, and for me that’s worth it.
