Record Pi® WiFi

Record Pi is a very good tool for flattening warped records. I have used it on two LPs and two 7" singles. All of them were flattened so they are playable except for one of the LPs which has a warp on the outer edge of the record. I've tried to flatten it multiple times playing with both the heat setting as well as the bake time, but the warp still remains. So I've been successful 75% of the time. Overall though, Record Pi was worth getting for what I needed it for!

I will say, it did what I was hoping it would do. Took way more time and heat than I thought it would and was recommended (Finally got the warp out at 135 F for like 12 hours, spent roughly 16 hours before that with no success) but it was a horrific warp. Lessons learned and such though. The app thing is way more necessary than I would have thought it would be too, so I appreciate that

My wife recently bought me a turntable so I could rediscover all of my 1970s vinyl. However, I've stupidly and improperly stored my records in a box in the attic - an extremely hot Texas attic - and most of them are badly warped. After much research, I settled on the Record Pi. And it's been a life saver! Records that were barely playable and sounded horrible have been recovered! When I first set the record on the Record Pi, it's obvious how warped it is - it doesn't make full contact with the bottom plate all the way around. After one bake, sometimes two (I do flip the record between bakes), the record sits flat on the Pi and spins with little wobble on the turntable. Distorted sound is replaced by clean music as it was intended. For best results, pair this with a deep-cleaning system like the HumminBird EZ Record Washer, and after drying place the record in a new premium master sleeve (like Big Fudge). Then you're ready to flatten with the Record Pi.
