Mallet Trail Speed Lace Vent Clip-In Shoes - Bone/Grey

I was pleasantly surprised that Crankbrothers introduced the vented model of the Mallet Clip in shoe. I currently run only Crankbrothers shoes. My feet are medium width and these fit great. I normally wear a 12-12. 5 shoe and the 12. 5 shoe fits me great with a little room for my feet to expand as I ride in the SoCal summer weather. The standard shoes do get warm and I was starting to get hot spots due to my feet getting hot spots. These shoes so far have worked excellent. The material is completely vented with even a vented insole. The white material is EXCELLENT for its purpose. HEAT Reflection! And surprisingly, they don't stay dirty. Highly recommend. FYI, the shoes don't come with cleats any longer. Keep this in mind. I get it because of the popularity of SPD pedals, but I wish online they would add step "DO YOU WANT TO ADD STANDARD CRANKBROTHERS CLEATS" and include them at a minor discount in the order. I like that the CB cleats are brass as my pedals last forever as I keep rebuilding them. Even after some Gooseberry pedal strikes. Great shoes. Great pedals.
