The one I had previously was purchased 3 years ago. It had scratches and a little piece on the bottom fell off which I doubted on health concerns whenever I cooked rice in it. The purchase - only buying an inner pot - was worth it! I could save money and enjoy rice without worrying too much about the pieces falling off.
