Waterproof, but hard to keep presentable

The necklace is gorgeous and definitely waterproof, even works in the pool so far. However, for some reason the two necklaces are constantly wrapping around each other so it often looks like the chains are looped around each other like snakes. Whenever I notice it I unwrap it. It doesn't look terrible; still looks pretty in my pictures, shiny, fits around my neck exactly as expected. But be aware that the two chains will wrap around each other a lot.
