Ryse Energy Primus Wind Power Air 40 Wind Turbine

The Air 40 is the land version of the AirX, which is designed for Marine environments. There are subtle differences between the designs but in my opinion, I don't think it's worth the extra 3-400 bucks more for the Marine version. In addition, since I keep my boat in southern California, where the humidity is relatively low, in conversations with Primus, the manufacturer, my installation may not be a problem. I guess we'll see over time. One key takeaway with this design is to ensure the mounting hardware is sufficiently coated with anti-seize to prevent the stainless hardware from corroding itself onto the aluminum mounts. The kit comes with Tef-gel but in my boating experience, anti-seize works much better by lasting longer. All in all, Primus makes the best and most popular wind generator for boats, even if it's the land version that you end up with.
