440 Kit

I ordered the kit for my 440. I purchased the 440 used in 2015. It’s been a great saw but needed some refreshing. But when installing the WCS dogs, I realized that I had the wrong clutch cover on the saw from the time I purchased it. It ends up the dogs did not line up (off by almost an inch) to use the chain catch, therefore I ordered a new OEM clutch cover on eBay, which is metal. After I received the new cover, I was able to install the dogs and chain catch without issue. The bark box went on with just a simple modification to the internals of the muffler. It does bark now. I’m in SC and my chainsaw work is done until next winter’s firewood processing season.

The saw is a completely different animal now. Try and save your gasket when you remove factory exhaust to put bark box on. Couldn't be happier
