Very good germination rate, strong and healthy seedlings. Out of 22 seeds planted, 18 sprouted! IMPORTANT: you MUST scarify them. I was getting no action (one seedling sprouted) so i decided to scarify. I took a serrated knife and sawed back and forth a few times. I kid you not, the NEXT DAY the gaps had started to widen and within 4 days shoots were poking out! Plant these seeds with the pokey end down, that’s where the root comes out. And they do require light to germinate, just have the top exposed, the rest of the seed in the soil. I also soaked the seeds for 24 hours in a cup of water before scarifying. My hypothesis is scarifying and THEN soaking in a cup of water. The whole catalyst to germination is light, consistent outside moisture, and a breach of the seed coat by water. So if you make a cut (dont go all the way though) in the seed coat and then soak in water, it would definitely get the water in there. Also i have bright grow lights, if youre growing seeds you NEED them.
