I’m so impressed with this pattern! The instructions are thorough and the pattern is well designed with all the details needed to make a splendid costume. I especially love all the detailed instructions for sewing it authentically by hand.

Nice learn skills of yester year

Overall a well laid out way of going back in time, hand sewing makes for better control of shapes.I still like to topstitch with a darker thread, it then fits in with today. Brian Hughes mid Wales UK

Excellent pattern. Directions are all for hand sewing, which I know is the "authentic" way to sew this jacket, but I would love to see machine instructions too. I ended up doing some hybrid sewing since I was on a deadline. I was a little confused with the pleats at the back, but the jacket came out just fine.
