Great for Dioramas, Not so Great for Play

As I understand it, this was the first model in the Real Grade series, and it shows. It's a really good-looking model, but it's way too flimsy, and unlike later models it doesn't have custom hands made to hold onto equipment. With some effort, I managed to get the little posable fingers wrapped around the beam rifle, but the shield was an absolute no-go; even when I barely managed to get it gripped, *the entire arm fell off from the weight of it.* That's the other glaring flaw: the arms do not want to stay connected to the shoulders. If you're building a diorama and will be gluing everything in place anyways, this is excellent for that. Otherwise, it's not worth the pain. Bandai needs to revisit this design, and when they do I hope they make the replaced parts available as a separate accessory kit, because I don't build dioramas, and I don't plan to start just for this one flimsy toy.
