Loved it at first

When I first got it , It was so cute and dainty I loved it, it hasn’t even been 2 months yet n my bracelet broke . the gold on part of the clasp looks like it’s starting to wear away ? I am very careful with all my jewelry and treat it with care so I was pretty disappointed , maybe I got a defective one ? :(
