Differences Between Bottle Sizes

I originally purchased the 50ml bottle which was a very thick consistency, nice strong ginger smell, and was working wonders for my scalp. After finishing the smaller tester bottle, I purchased the 250ml bottle. The consistency was supremely watery (which led to me pouring out a huge amount during my first use as I expected it to be thick like the smaller bottle), had a less strong smell and seemed to be less effective than the smaller. This has led me to suspect that the larger bottle is in fact only a watered down version of the smaller bottle. Really disappointed considering the price of the product.
