Volt Heated 7V Leather Work Gloves for Men

Just ok

I purchased three pair; one was for myself. The leather/stitching/design are all well thought-out, well made. They are fairly rugged for medium to light duty use. The design is very user friendly. The batteries go into small pockets on the gloves with a clear window. It is easy to turn on/adjust the batteries through the clear plastic window. Unfortunately, the heat doesn't go up into the fingertips. I thought, from the photos in the website, that the wiring went into the fingers. It does not. I still have painful fingertips while trying to shovel and work out in the bitter cold. I wanted to love them, but just can't for that reason.

I have tried a few different heated gloves and spent and inordinate amount on them. None have lived up to expectations until now. I have frostbitten hands from an experience in my youth and the pain in my fingers is especially severe in cold weather. With the artic blast recently and having to work outside made it a necessity to find another pair of gloves. Volt was new to me so went the order. Customer service was great in getting back to me regarding preservation of the leather after I received them. The batteries are unique in that they snap clip into the heating port of the gloves. I started out at 4 lights and after about fifteen minutes trimmed them back to 2 lights as my hands were starting to sweat. This was FANTASTIC as the ambient air temp was 12 degrees. Only drawbacks that I would account for (this is personal preferences only) that leather is initially stiff (understandably) and I am not fond of long gauntlet cuffs (but again understanding the placement of the batteries) much like the other sets of gloves I have purchased. Will continue to evaluate these as the winter progresses but my initial impression of these Volt gloves is excellent.

Would probably buy again, but wish the fingers and thumbs had more heat.

I am mostly satisfied with these Volt Heated 7V Leather Work Gloves for Men and have put a lot of hours on them already since receiving them. I may even get a second pair at some point, or try one of the other Volt products. My biggest reason for giving only three stars is that I wish the fingers and thumbs had more heat in them. The palm is well heated but the fingers and thumbs do not have enough heat in them to really keep my fingers warm in cold conditions like we have been having--even when the gloves are being run on high.
